If you’re looking for the perfect, basic sugar cookie cutout recipe, look no further.
1 cup of your choice of granulated sugar (coconut, cane, maple, or sucanat work great!)
1/2lb butter room temp NOT MELTED
1 egg room temp
1 egg yoke room temp
pinch of salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract (or lemon, maple, peppermint, or any other extract you’d like!)
3 cups flour (we use Central Milling organic bakers blend)
Blend the first six ingredients until combined, doesn’t have to be smooth.
Add flour, mix until combined.
Refrigerate if desired, but not required.
Roll out using dowels to keep consistent cookie thickness. Cut out desired shapes.
Bake 350 for 10-20 mins, depending on oven.
