New Year’s Eve has always been a special day in our home. Joel and I got married on December 31, 2001, just one month after I turned 18. It was by far the best NYE celebration we have had, however, we quickly realized that it’s a pretty terrible day for an anniversary. Everything is prefixed, really expensive, hard to get reservations, crowded, and not very intimate. Because of that, we have become accustomed to bringing New Years Eve home for the party and taking our anniversary trip later in the week!
So, for the first time this year, we aren’t disappointed by the lack of party options because it has always been a day we make our own excitement at home! I actually remember the year Hannah Montana debuted on NYE and we spent the entire evening watching it with the kids. Another year Joel had live lobsters shipped from Maine, and many years he made cioppino from scratch.
This year we want to help you celebrate at home, the way we always do! We have put together a delicious way to enjoy the end of 2020 and beginning of 2021 without leaving your house or making a huge mess in your kitchen!
